British Wheel of Yoga - Certificate in Teaching Yoga
The aim of the Certificate course is to equip you both professionally and practically to teach yoga asanas, breathing practices, and relaxation to students with a wide variety of capacity and experience; with an underlying knowledge and understanding of fundamental yoga principles and philosophy.

This is a 300-hour course will comprise of three units taught over a 21-month period:
Unit A: Professional responsibilities of a yoga teacher, basic breathing and relaxation and preparing for asana (posture work)
Unit B: Approaching asana, basic breath control and relaxation
Unit C: Effective planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation
Our next BWY Certificate course commences in April 2026 and will be held at Walcote Memorial Hall, Frank's Road, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17 4JX (Near junction of M1/M6 and easily accessible from Coventry, Northampton, Rugby, Leicester and Market Harborough).

An option will be provided to student teachers, to progress to the BWY Diploma course being held in parallel as a Progression Course student.

The course will be led by BWY Diploma Course Teachers Dawn Wesselby and Perry Lewis.
